LINES OF LIFE SERIES
In Lines of Life Series, is a fifteen-piece collection in which Gloria creates abstract visuals to demonstrate the evolution of human skin through its life span.
Humans are born with wrinkled skin and as he/she develops, their skin will grow and stretch, becoming rigid and colored with age.
This abstract representation of the evolution of skin—from newborn to elder—is a reflection of our growth and aging.
As life positively and negatively fluctuates over time—our skin, as well as other body parts—experiences transformation. In this process of change, the body and the skin reflect the interaction, integration, and assimilation of the human existence within nature and as a part of the social environment they inhabit.
